What's a Sit-In Commission? 

     A sit-in commission is a chance for you to tell the potter (Nicole), what you would like made and tweak the design while she makes it in front of you.

How's it work?   

1. First, you choose the size of piece you'd like. 

Small = 3 lbs which is great for a small serving bowl, 6" planter, medium pitcher, vase, or small curvy platter

Medium = 5-6 lbs which is great for a medium serving bowl, 8" planter, large vase, or medium curvy platter

Large = 8-10 lbs which makes a medium-large serving bowl, 10" planter, XL vase, or M/L curvy bowl

X-Large = 12+ lbs which makes a large curvy platter or large serving bowl. If you're wanting a tall vase or large planter, this size would be made in 2 pieces. 

2. Choose a time to come to the studio. Times will be in July with multiple options for dates and times. When you purchase your commission, you'll be prompted to book a time.

3. Figure out what you want to make. We'll shoot you a message with some steps to help narrow down what you'd like. Feel free to bring in pictures, including colors of glazes, you enjoy. 

4. Come to the studio at your Commission Time (we'll figure out Zoom if you need to be at a separate location) and make with us. We'll figure out what glazes you'd like after it's made, and then take it from there.

5. Pick up your piece when it's finished. All Sit-In Commissions will be completed by the end of August. Why the extra time? Pottery takes a long time!

What if I can't come in person?

We get that! We'll simply set up a Zoom call where we can critique the piece together while you can see it.

Can I just send you an email and tell you what I want?

No. I have a lot going on and, honestly, I'm not great at staying on top of things not in front of me at the moment normally, and this will be an extra busy season.
